Exercise and Fun Time
The Stay at Home Workout
We all know how important it is to exercise, because it helps fight heart disease in so many ways. Exercise also helps control diabetes, it fights obesity, and it helps ward off depression and anxiety because of its mood-lifting effects.
But sometimes I just don’t feel like working out. I’m a busy person and I’ve always got a gazillion things to do. Sometimes it just takes too much time to stop everything and go work out.
I try to “schedule” my workout time around noon; usually the weather is warmer around the mid-day mark, so that makes going outside more enjoyable. But, as is often the case, something comes up that takes up my time slot for my workout. It’s so annoying.
So, what I’ve learned to do, is turn my activities around the house into as close to a workout as I can get. It’s not perfect by any means, but it does help me get some strength training and stretches in every day.
Here are some examples, and then I’d love to hear what you do to incorporate exercise into your daily chores around the house.
Let me know what kind of exercises you incorporate into your stay at home chores. The list is endless.
